The Red Sand Dunes, north east of Riyadh about 3/4 hours approx has to be the best place for camping that I have been on. The sunset, the whole experience of trucks being stuck (not fun but memorable and team building lol) and the company was awesome that night. Got to see the sky light up with thousands if not millions of stars and got to enjoy it around the fire with good people.
Prepared food, liquids, grabbed some chairs, borrowed a tent from a friend and didn’t forget extra clothes but assumed it weren’t going to be cold but boy was I wrong. Rented the 4×4, full petrol, gps and have a towing rope just in case. The sunset is beautiful so don’t forget to get to a high point.
Important information: Bring a jacket! I was insane not to listen or to try and be brave but I was freezing. Don’t forget to charge up your camera for capturing those beautiful moments.
